Acupuncture is applied for facial rejuvenation and anti-aging. The theory is that the needles stimulate the flow of qi and blood, helping to produce a smooth, radiant skin appearance, as well as lift the face (by lifting the qi), and reduce fine lines (as the qi fills in). By correcting the distribution of qi and addressing underlying imbalances, cosmetic acupuncture can also help hyperpigmentation and other skin issues such as acne. Individual results may vary and more than one session may be required to achieve desirable results.

Example picture of needles used for cosmetic acupuncture. This is just an example, as some needles are smaller and there are various techniques for needle insertion and quite often more needles are used. In addition, a TCM Assessment is done prior to determine the TCM pattern(s) influencing the skin which may lead to needles also being placed on the legs or arms for example to address underlying internal organ issues.
